Saving 13 million dollars by opening production lines for domestically made medical items
At the same time as celebrating the government week and with the presence of the vice president for science, technology and knowledge-based economy, production lines for medical examination items were opened and put into operation in Malayer.
According to the communication and information center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, during the government week and in the presence of Ruhollah Dehghani, Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and the Governor of Hamedan, the first phase of the factories for the production of examination and surgical gloves, various medical catheters and Injection sets were opened and put into operation in Malayer city.
The opening of this production line is the result of three years of efforts of the specialists of Sahel Gostaran Darman company with the goal of self-sufficiency in the production of medical items, including examination and surgical gloves, medical catheters and injection items.
In the first phase of the factories for this company, the production capacity of 8,000 gloves per hour has been established, and with the launch of the second phase, the production capacity will be increased to 48,000 gloves per hour in the next six months.
Sahel Gostaran Darman company operates in the field of medical equipment and general consumption in two categories of latex products and polymer products.
The latex products of this technology collection include surgical and examination gloves, and polymer products include injection serums, catheters and other disposable medical equipment. With the production of the first phase of this company, 5 million dollars will be saved annually, and with the opening of the second phase of this factory, it will be possible to save 13 million dollars.
The products of Sahel Gostaran Darman Company will solve part of the challenge of supplying medical consumables, including serum and various catheters.
This factory has been set up on a land of 16,000 square meters with 3,500 square meters of production space at a cost of 330 billion tomans, and another 650 billion tomans will be allocated to start the second phase.
So far, the activity of Sahel Gostaran production factories has provided employment for 120 people in addition to preventing foreign currency outflow. With the opening of the second phase of this production line, direct employment will be provided for 450 people. More than 80,000 pairs of latex gloves are produced daily in this technology complex.
