According to the communication and information center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy, Ruhollah Dehghani, the Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy, opened the Babolsar Growth and Innovation Center during his visit to Mazandaran province.

Dehghani stated that generating capacities and using the existing infrastructure in line with the development of the knowledge-based economy is one of the priorities of the Vice Presidency of Science, adding: Mazandaran province has two types of tangible capital, including buildings, infrastructures and suitable space for the development of technology and knowledge-based economy and human capital. Two capitals whose developmental use and productivity approach can provide the basis for the growth of the province's economy and a more serious move in the direction of a knowledge-based economy.

He said that Mazandaran province is one of the bases for the development of the country's knowledge-based economy and continued: This growth and innovation center was launched with the approach of generating infrastructure and with the careful and intelligent view of the provincial officials and the good cooperation of the customs, and I hope that it will be able to attract young teams and able to move towards the development of knowledge-based economy. The Vice Presidency of Science will implement different and numerous support according to the field of activity of teams and companies.

He added: In the field of technology development, it will be in the form of free facilities and support, and in the field of knowledge-based economy development, it will be in the form of low-interest loans, working capital and investment. It should be mentioned that the growth and innovation center of the abandoned building belonging to the customs in Babolsar, which has been restored and renovated with the support of the vice presidency of science, technology and knowledge-based economy, the science and technology park of Mazandaran province, and the customs, it was inaugurated and operated with the presence of the vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy.

In this growth and innovation center, 18 technology units including five technology cores and 13 companies are located. Companies and technology cores are active in fields such as chemistry, agriculture, information technology, nanotechnology and biotechnology.
