According to the communication and information center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Ruhollah Dehghani, who spoke on Wednesday evening at the ceremony of honoring the country's scientific leaders in 2023, expressed his satisfaction at holding this ceremony on the auspicious day of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (A.S.) stated: We all know the unique position and importance that the progressive religion of Islam and the Iranian religion attach to science and knowledge. If we believe that this issue is not a compliment, we know how much we have to work to honor and support scholars and scientists.

Referring to the grand ceremony of the fifth Mustafa (PBUH) science and technology award held this week in Isfahan with the presence of dozens of scientists and scientific figures from the Islamic world, he said: support for scientific leaders in the National Elites Foundation in the form of the Federation of Leaders Science was being done, which I believe, the federation, which is reminiscent of sports federations, is not a suitable format and title for honoring the top scientific figures of the country.

The head of the National Elites Foundation emphasized that there is a place to create an award at the level of the Mustafa Science and Technology Award with a suitable name to appreciate the scientists who are effective in the scientific development of the country, and stated: We are trying to establish a Great Award in the amount of at least 100,000$ to honor the outstanding scientists of our country, and I hope that by next year, the regulations and frameworks of this award will be clear and the ground for its awarding will be provided.

The vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy continued by stating that special emphasis and attention to knowledge-based economy should not make us forget the necessity and importance of scientific research, and stated: Undoubtedly, great achievements have been made in the field of knowledge-based companies. It is the result of investments and efforts of the past two or three decades. Our knowledge-based companies should solve the problems of the country's big industries on the one hand and define problems for the universities on the other hand. If the country's research chain dries up, we will have big droughts, just like if there is no proper connection between our knowledge-based companies and universities, we will face big losses in the future.

In the end, Dehghani emphasized: The more we plant the seedlings of targeted, noble and useful scientific research in the direction of our needs and prospects, we will have a brighter future in the field of economy and technology.
