In a meeting with Iranian students abroad, Dehghani said:
"Elite rule" and overcoming challenges
A friendly meeting and discussion of Iranian students abroad was held with the Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and the head of the National Elites Foundation.
Ruhollah Dehghani, Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, in this meeting, said that one of the basic requirements of the country is the governance of the elites, he continued: the system of issues and challenges has become so clear that we do not have a problem in recognizing the issues in the country, and the main problems, are clear. But what we need today to solve the country's problems, and we are less aware of its necessity and importance, is the role of elites in the field of governance, and if this happens, the country's problems will be solved.
Dehghani stated that today more than ever in the country we need comprehensive solutions to solve specific issues, adding: It is the elite society of the country that can provide comprehensive solutions and play a favorable role in the field of governance. Solving the country's problems can only be solved with comprehensive solutions from the elite society.
Emphasizing on supporting and creating a platform for the elites to play a role in providing solutions and solving problems, he said: In the National Elites Foundation and Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, the prevailing attitude is that every person who loves his country and can take a step in order to progress and solve the problems of his country, he should be supported.
The head of the National Elites Foundation pointed out that the governance and management of the country these days more than ever needs management solutions and models based on elites and innovation, and continued: A country that is used to management relying on oil resources, today to overcome crises and the problems themselves require innovative solutions and the governance of the elite society; We must accept that the era of oil revenues of the 90s and 2000s will not be repeated for the country and the implementation of those development models will no longer be possible.
Dehghani considered one of the existing weaknesses as the lack of transparency and accurate information in the field of achievements, capabilities and existing capacities and said: Although there are management challenges and serious shortcomings in the country, it is necessary to measure the entire atmosphere of the country with such an approach and achieve achievements. Not paying attention to the facts is not a correct approach.
He added: It is not correct to compare the current conditions of the country with an ideal Europe and the achievements should be measured based on facts. Iran, a country that has faced various issues and challenges in the last 4 decades, has managed to continue its efforts in the path of progress and achieve valuable achievements despite all the obstacles and challenges.
He stated that there is no difference in the attitude of the National Elites Foundation and the Vice-Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy in relation to the elites, talents and Iranian residents and non-residents. They are not left out, and people who can have a positive impact on the country are elite from the perspective of the National Elites Foundation and the Vice-Presidency of Science.
Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy said: The lack of awareness of the elite community, the activists of the technological ecosystem, innovation and specialists about the special support and infrastructure capacities that exist in the country is a serious challenge that must be done with awareness and accurate information, opportunities, fields of activity, and facilities of the country will reach the awareness of this society and in this case, many issues will be solved.
Dehghani continued: One of the measures that have been planned and implemented in order to employ elites and experts is the formation of headquarters for the development of strategic technologies and the development of the knowledge-based economy in the field of transformative technologies, such as artificial intelligence and robotics. Also, planning to launch a large national hub with a capacity of at least 1000 experts for mastery and technological leadership in that particular field is underway. In this national program, necessary measures have been taken and preparations have been made for the launch of this national hub in 6 technological areas.
The head of the National Elites Foundation emphasized that the issue of immigration should also be realistic and should be taken into consideration by considering all its aspects, and continued: The issue of immigration is definitely a serious matter that needs attention and we should not hide this fact. But the issue of immigration should be looked at and investigated based on the facts. Political and media creations have been very effective in exaggerating and unrealizing this phenomenon, and although other countries have plans for our elite and capable human resources for their own development, the children of this country are also interested in their country and family. We must support and guide them to play a role where they belong and provide the necessary grounds for their activities.
According to Dehghani, the Vice-Presidency of Science and the National Elites Foundation, as a facilitating and ground-building institution, is trying to provide them with a playing field and role-playing field. The law of leapfrogging knowledge-based production and the implementation of the good capacities of this law, agreements with institutions and organizations to meet the needs of experts and knowledge-based, support financing systems and working capital, facilities and services for elites, are only a part of the measures that level the playing field. for elites and knowledge-based companies.
It should be noted that in this intimate meeting, which was held in the presence of Nasser Bagheri Moghadam, Deputy Director of the National Elites Foundation and Amir Hossein Mirabadi, the Head of the Center for International Interactions of Science and Technology in the Vice-Presidency, a number of students from abroad shared their views and concerns with the head of the National Elites Foundation.
