The third meeting of knowledge, industry and market coordinating office was held in the presence of Peyman Salehi, deputy of technology innovation and commercialization development headquarter, and Abdolreza Majdoddin, the general manager of the knowledge, industry and market coordinating office.

First, Salehi pointed out the background of activities of the knowledge, industry and market coordinating office and change of attitude toward the establishment of the unit, stating: in the first round, the associations were established with the axis of universities of the public sector, which was supported by the private sector in the new round by changing the approach of the Vice-Presidency.

Enactment of the Cultural Revolution Supreme Council

He continued: in this regard, the Vice-Presidency was able to adopt the enactment of the cultural revolution supreme leader, which has created a great legal potential for the associations.

Legal Potential of Associations 

The deputy of technology innovation and commercialization development headquarter pointed out the legal potential of associations to establish convergence and synergy among different parts of science, industry and market in the country and defining and reviewing some standards, asserting: establishment and activities of the associations in strategic fields that have added value have mostly been overlooked by the technology development headquarters. It is predicted that these associations work in the fields of policy-making and eliminating production and standardization barriers as the counseling arm of the custodians.

Performance Report

During the meeting, the heads and representatives of the knowledge, industry, and market coordinating associations presented performance reports of the associations in 2019 in the fields of wheat, flour & bread, jewelry & precious stones, damask flowers & fragrances, urban rail transportation, laboratory equipment, dyes & resins, bees, carpets & aquaculture.

Associations on the Verge of Establishment

In another part of the meeting, the heads of the associations on the verge of establishment introduced their activities in the fields of cellulose and cellulose derivatives, waste management and recycling, information exchange security, tourism, sugar and by-products.

Registering New Associations

At the end of the meeting, Abdolreza Majdoddin emphasized the necessity of using the potential of elites by associations, as well as the development of three-year programs for the association, establishment of a website, establishment of databases by demand and response units of technology and following up the establishment of accelerators and innovation centers and new associations.
