The food industry innovation center is established

 

The head of the knowledge, technology, and market coordinating office (wheat, flour and bread chain) announced the establishment of a food innovation center.

Alireza Karimi Vasigh, the head of the knowledge, technology, and market coordinating office (wheat, flour and bread chain), explained about the establishment of the “food innovation center”: the center will be soon established based on a joint agreement between the Vice-Presidency and grain and trading services company.

He added: laying the proper foundation for the growth of startup activities and knowledge-based companies active in the field of food industry is one of the most important missions of this office. In this regard, two innovation centers have been created with the leadership of the center in the institute of nutrition research and coal and commercial services company.

Penetration of Technology into Industry

The head of the knowledge, technology, and market coordinating office (wheat, flour and bread chain) asserted: the center is among the first organizations working in the second round of activity of associations and based on the new statute designed by the Vice-Presidency to increase the penetration of technology into the industry.

Culture Building

He also pointed out the high volume of bread waste in the country, affirming: organization of bread issue in the country requires culture building from people’s homes. In this context, meetings have been held with the minister of education to teach students the correct culture of bread production and consumption. He also listed the formation of the National Academy of Bread in the south of Tehran as one of its plans.

Approving the Establishment of an Office

Increasing synergy between the effective components of knowledge, industry and market sections, improving interactions between supply and technology demand units, recognizing challenges, designing solutions and proposing them to eliminate barriers to the development of industry and market with the goal of developing knowledge-based products, helping the formation of competitive advantage based on technology and innovation at the level of manufacturing and service agencies and enhancing the business environment based on the specialized area of the center’s activity are among the main goals of the Vice-Presidency in shaping knowledge ,technology and market coordinating offices.

In this respect, the establishment of 14 offices has been approved to this day.
