This morning, the first cognitive sciences and technologies (COGNOTECH) accelerator was opened in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs to create a powerful ecosystem of startups and knowledge-based companies, as well as innovators and researchers in this area.

During the opening ceremony, the vice president for science and technology affairs noted that the cognitive sciences and technologies field has had a considerable development in the past few years, adding: the brain and cognition clinic is one of the examples that has provided new diagnostic and treatment methods for patients and normal people.

Sattari continued: diseases such as depression, Alzheimer"s and cognitive diseases indicate that the brain, like other organs, needs rehabilitation. With the development of new techniques and ideas, we can step on the path to treatment. Fortunately, many of these ideas are being implemented in the country.

The vice president for science and technology affairs considered the evolution of the cognitive sciences field a serious matter, asserting: academic centers and the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter have taken serious measures to make progress in the field, such as opening the present accelerator.

Cognitive Science Startups Will Grow

During the ceremony, Kamal Kharazi, the advisor to the vice president in the field of cognitive sciences, affirmed: creating a job market and producing useful products for people is the task of launching this accelerator to guide graduates well. This accelerator supports graduates in this field.

According to the report, five startups are located in the accelerator, working in the fields of Alzheimer"s prevention, screening, autism counseling and training and cognitive tests. With the help of the accelerator, we will soon witness the booming of their activities and acceleration of entering their technological products into the market.

In addition, the top six teams in the challenge of capitalization and game design are deployed in an accelerator space to bring their products to market faster.

A step is taken toward the booming of the innovation and technology ecosystem in the field of cognitive sciences by opening this accelerator.

During the ceremony, Sattari visited the Comprehensive Brain Rehabilitation and Cognition Clinic, which has been opened since 2016 with the goal of developing activities in the field of brain and cognitive sciences.

Neurology, child and adult psychiatry, memory check, elderly health assessment, psychotherapy and counseling, speech therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy are some of the areas of this center.
