Iran national science foundation has announced its first call to support post-doctoral technological projects in order to empower PhD graduates.

The call is published to solve various challenges of industries, where human resources’ abilities are used to remove the challenges. The first call includes the challenges of rubber industry. The call will support 30 post-doctoral projects.

PhD graduates can submit their request on the research management system (Kuiper). The top projects will be selected after assessing the requests.

The call is made in cooperation with Barez Industrial Group. Overall, 62 issues have been raised in toe call to be used by post-doctoral researchers in their projects. All of these issues are needs in the rubber industry of the country and their elimination will result in advancement in the area.

Design and implementation of online systems for measuring thickness in stainless steel, design and implementation of intelligent extruder control system, design and implementation of intelligent control system of wireless cylinder, networking of final tire sellers across the country, design and manufacture of automatic tire labeling machine and design and manufacture of pallets and smart vehicles are some of the issues raised in this call. Depending on the complexity of the area of activity, each project will receive support up to three-five million Tomans per month.

In addition, selected researchers will receive a joint certificate from the Barez Industrial Group and the Fund at the end of the course, and will be able to enjoy the laboratory facilities of the Barez Industrial Group during the course.
