By Signing a Memorandum of Understanding; Technological Abilities of Small Industries Will Be Improved
The Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) signed a memorandum of understanding to shape and develop new businesses. The MoU was signed on the national day of small industries.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the activities of most knowledge-based and technological companies are identified in the area of small industries. Accordingly, the Vice-Presidency has started extensive cooperation with the ministry of industry, mine and trade and Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO).
The MoU was signed to development and increase the influence of new technologies among small and medium industries in the country and improvement of the technical and qualitative level of specialized and technical services and products. Another goal of the agreement was to create the necessary conditions for the development of the infrastructure required for innovation at the national level and to improve the business environment.
Peyman Salehi, deputy of technology innovation & commercialization development headquarter, and Mohsen Salehinia, the deputy minister and CEO of ISIPO, signed the MoU.
Utilizing the capacities of the parties to strengthen and develop the infrastructure required by innovation centers and technical and specialized centers that play the role of supporting technology is another axis of this memorandum.
Utilizing the capacity of startups, technology units and institutes located in innovation centers, growth centers and science and technology parks and knowledge-based companies, and creating new demand-driven businesses are among the other goals set for this cooperation document.
Meeting the needs and technological challenges of industries and introducing places with specific standards by the Vice-Presidency to create specialized innovation centers are other goals of the MoU.
The Vice-Presidency will be responsible for supporting the establishment and development of innovation centers, specialized entrepreneurship centers and advanced technological towns and centers. A strategic council will be formed to realize these goals, and representatives of the two parties will become its members. The memorandum was signed in 11 articles, 8 pages and 3 copies at the ministry of industry, mines and trade.
