Top Ideas Will Move to the Market of Iranian Cognitive Products
Acceptance of projects of researchers is initiated for the competitive challenge of “design and construction of a non-invasive stimulation system of deep areas of the brain” with the support of the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter has initiated an act in line with production of Iranian goods in brain field. The headquarter has aimed to hold various challenges in modern areas of the world and to create competition among researchers so that the foundation is laid for construction of new tools in this area.
In this respect, the challenge of “design and construction of a non-invasive stimulation system of deep areas of the brain” is initiated as the first activity of the headquarter. This challenge is aimed at expanding the borders of knowledge and technology and laying the groundwork for utilizing domestic engineering capabilities to build new tools in the field of cognitive science.
Ideas in the Field of Cognitive Sciences Will Turn into Products
Knowledge-based companies, professors and researchers of universities and higher education institutions, inventors and student groups can register their proposals on the website of http://cogchallenge.ir until October 7th, 2019.
At the end, the received projects will be evaluated and the selected projects will enter the next stage. In the first stage, those with accepted proposals will have three months (until January 5th, 2019) to prepare their documents and computer simulations based on the regulations of the headquarter and deliver them for evaluation.
In addition, three top teams that more efficiently prepare their computer simulation results and defend them will receive cash prices in other modalities (electromagnetics, sonication, and light).
The second stage of the challenge is related to the construction and testing of an electrical modality. Winners of the first assessment stage will have four months (until May 4th, 2020) to complete the technical and economic documents of their project and propose a library prototype.
