The Vice President of Science and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kenya met in Nairobi during the presence of our high-ranking delegation of Science and Technology.

On the third day of his visit to Kenya, Vice President of Science and Technology Sorena Sattari met with Foreign Minister Rachel Omamo.

In this meeting, the Vice President of Science and Technology presented a report on the process of scientific and technological development of our country during the last 40 years, and said: "A long time has passed since the victory of the Islamic Revolution and we are on the eve of the Fajr decade." Iran has been subjected to harsh sanctions by world superpowers for 40 years.

Sattari added: "These sanctions were a good thing for Iran and made us self-sufficient in meeting our needs." That is, we localized all the technologies available to developed countries by our young scientists and became self-sufficient.

The head of the National Elites Foundation continued: "We saw the market example of these successes in the days of the Corona outbreak. In these critical days, all equipment was produced by our country's knowledge-based and youth companies.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kenya, Ms. Rachel Omamo, also thanked Iran for its actions in Kenya and said: "The establishment of the Iranian Innovation Center in our country is a good technological event." This could pave the way for the development of South-South cooperation.

The Vice President of Science and Technology has traveled to Kenya for the second time at the head of a 40-member delegation of knowledge-based and creative companies to pave the way for the development of exports of their technology products. Also on the second day of the trip, the Iranian Innovation Center was inaugurated in Kenya in the presence of the Vice President of Science and Technology.
