Vice-President of Science: Students participating in the Ahmadi Roshan project should be able to solve their own problems

The opening ceremony of the seventh period of the development project for research-oriented and technological problem cores was held with the presence of the president's vice president for science, technology and knowledge-based economy.

Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, in the opening ceremony of the seventh period of the development project for research-oriented and technological problem cores, which was held on Monday evening, February 6, in the Sheikh Ansari Hall in the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Tehran, noted: once upon a time, every person He entered the university to get a bachelor's degree and started working immediately after graduation. In the following, the approach changed a little and focused on the fact that a person who has been trained in the university, it is necessary to teach him a little scientific research; Therefore, with this view, we witnessed the creation of research institutes and research and laboratory centers in the country.

The head of the National Elites Foundation stated: With the launch of the post-graduate education course in universities, a change of direction was made towards research-oriented, and graduate studies in that field led to recruitment in research institutes and think tanks.

Emphasizing this, he added: after the passage of several years, the need to focus and conduct special scientific research led to the establishment of doctoral courses, and the graduates of this course could be recruited into the academic staff of universities, if not, they would work in the industry. That is, if a person defended his thesis with a high degree, the probability of his employment was very high.

Dr. Dehghani continued: The approach of universities twenty or thirty years ago was to train people to be employed in institutions. But the subsequent approach was to make students entrepreneurs. Because with this approach, in addition to his own entrepreneurship, he also employed several people.

He said: In the New Generation University, which is referred to as the Third Generation University, the field of technology was highlighted and we are witnessing a paradigm shift in all fields and even common terms. The employer-oriented university changed its paradigm to an entrepreneur-oriented university.

Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy said: In the second generation university, titles such as research center, library, laboratory and professors were used, but all those terms changed their nature and paradigm in the third generation universities. Previously, a student would become an expert, senior expert, and doctor, but with a change in approach, he now becomes an entrepreneur and startup owner.

He further added: Master's degree became "Growth Center" and doctorate became "Science and Technology Park". As a result of these changes, South Korea, which has more than 50% of its GDP based on the knowledge-based economy, has 18 technology parks and we have 70 technology parks. While these terms do not help to be knowledge-based. Therefore, we urgently need new events, literature and paradigm changes in universities.

Dr. Dehghani pointed out: One of these incidents comes back to the issue of becoming "problem-oriented", which foreigners consider to be simply doing the problem.

Regarding Ahmadi Roshan's projects, he said: These projects are not the current issues of the country; The country has many issues that need to be solved. The current issues of the country are its current emotions, values, culture, and production.

Dr. Dehghani added: It is a wrong idea that you have come to solve the country's problems; Rather, you have come to solve a specific problem. You have come for yourself. You have come to solve yourself.

He continued by emphasizing: The biggest thing that is happening in the Ahmadi Roshan project is that each of you must solve yourself. That you are multiple with yourself, working with the teacher in the real space will solve yourself.

Dr. Dehghani Firouzabadi added: You must be able to solve yourself in this path in addition to studying for a master's degree and a doctorate, and you must be able to find yourself in this project. In this project, you will find a part of yourself. There is good capacity and opportunities in our country.

Referring to the definition of elite, the head of the National Elites Foundation said: one has a GPA of 15 and the other has a GPA of 20; Does this make the former non-elite and the latter elite? Is the person who has a better exam, grade point average, or type, elite? It must be said that our view was not wrong from the beginning, but now our view is wrong. The elite is not that student who argues with his teacher for half a mark. I declare that you introduce the elites to me so that I will be happy to be introduced to them and I can fix and solve their problems.

The opening ceremony of the seventh period of the development project for research-oriented and technological problem cores, with the presence of Dr. Ruhollah Dehghani, Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Alireza Manadi Sefidan, Chairman of the Parliament Education Commission, Ahmed Naderi, one of the members of this commission, Nasser Bagheri Moghadam, Deputy Director of the National Elites Foundation, Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Mohd, Vice President of the Future Makers of the National Elites Foundation, Seyed Mohammad Moghimi, President of the University of Tehran, was held in Sheikh Ansari Hall, Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, University of Tehran.

The project for the development of problem-oriented research-technological cores (Shahid Ahmadi Roshan Project), by the National Elite Foundation and since 2016 aimed to increase the quality level of education and facilitating the acquisition of experience in the real world, with the mutual cooperation of scientific experts, industrial companies, research institutions and It has been implemented with the active participation of selected students and graduates.
