On the 10^th day of gathering of industries, knowledge-based companies and startups on UAV, seven Iranian-made UAV achievements were unveiled in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs and head of Iran national science fund.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, producers of small and large metal and composite UAVs gathered together in a two-day gathering for knowledge-based companies and startups, held at the location of the national science fund. This was a great opportunity for displaying the latest achievements made in Iran in this field. In addition, the activists of the area were able to interact with one another.

The second day of the gathering involved the unveiling of seven new knowledge-based achievements in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs and head of Iran national science fund.

During the ceremony, Sattari talked about the abilities of Iranian knowledge-based companies in production and design of new, applicable UAVs, adding: we have extraordinary advantages if relied on knowledge-based companies and startups in the field of UAV technology. The products and parts provided and presented by activists of this field are advanced, competitive and efficient and often have a greater quality, compared to the existing counterparts in the international markets.

Paved Way for Interaction between Knowledge-based and Defensive Sectors

Sattari reminded the linkage between the abilities of the knowledge-based and defensive sectors of the country in this field as an opportunity, expressing: fortunately, we have valuable knowledge and technology in the business and non-military section. In addition, the commercialization of our country"s advanced and valuable defense achievements, while creating added value, paves the way for knowledge-based companies and startups to enter global markets.

Evolution in Culture of Using New Technologies and Iranian-made Knowledge-based Products

The president of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter mentioned the welcoming of UAVs by various organizations, adding: the Iranian UAVs that are active in different fields of agriculture and mapping have been welcomed by different industries and organization. This is mainly due to the fact that UAVs can be exploited to facilitate many time-consuming and high-cost tasks.

The chairman of Iran national space and advanced transportation administration marked: we have shown very successful examples of products that have significant and successful applications. These achievements transform the culture of using modern technology and Iranian-made knowledge products in industries, government agencies such as ministries as well as the private sector. Higher productivity, along with ever-increasing technological advances, will be a valuable product of this cultural transformation.

Improvement in UAV Technology with the Help of the Private Sector

The vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned that many of the active companies in the UAV field have emerged from the private sector, asserting: the majority of products and services of these companies and startups are made in Iran. In these businesses, the creative and young human resources of Iran use their domestic knowledge and technology, especially in the area of design and engineering. With their flight continuity and portability in different weights, UAVs represent the innovative step of these companies that has brought technological excellence.

Pointing out the familiarization of the society with the abilities and efficiency of UAVs, Sattari continued: the community people have learned more about the culture of knowledge-based companies. Fortunately, this technology is widely used. Despite the security regulations that have limited the application of UAVs for the sake of safety of the country, various organization have worked with this area and have welcomed the technology.

Unveiling Seven Knowledge-based Products

The first solar-energy-powered UAV, a specialized mapping UAV, monitoring and control UAV with high flight time, spectral and thermal night vision camera, vertical takeoff and landing specialized mapping UAV, light screening UAV equipped with a thermal camera, and specialized app for UAV and robotics sales were unveiled.

During the two-day gathering of knowledge-based companies and startups in the UAV field, more than 50 knowledge-based companies, startups, and technology units showcased their achievements.
