Head of the strategic technologies development headquarter emphasized the special role of startups in development of the country, stating: the presence of startups in the society has resulted in the penetration of innovation into the heart of the community.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Esmail Ghaderifar, head of the strategic technologies development headquarter, talked about the necessity of formation and support of startups in the country, expressing:

Startup ecosystem activists and innovators in the country play an important role in the country"s scientific and technological developments, and this influential presence is one of the most important factors of economic authority and maturity in the transition from petroleum economy to knowledge-based economy.

He added: the formation of a technology and innovation ecosystem in the country accelerated with the support of startups, which made the field of innovation more meaningful.

According to Ghaderifard, more than 6200 Iranian startups are active in this ecosystem, which is why Iran is recognized as one of the largest ecosystems of Southwest Asian and the Mena Region.

Ghaderifard pointed out the formation of the second generation of innovation ecosystem in the country, adding: with the emergence of startups in the field of technology in the second generation after the formation of service startups, we have witnessed the role-playing of innovation ecosystem activists to solve the technological problems and expand the export circles of the country.
