Innovation complexes will be established in the Islamic Azad University
Pointing out the reduced number of students in universities of the country, the head of the strategic technologies development center announced the establishment of innovation complexes in the unused areas of Islamic Azad University.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Esmaeil Ghaderfar, the head of the strategic technologies development center, announced the preparation of innovation centers in branches of the Islamic Azad University, expressing: one of the goals of the Vice-Presidency is using the unused capacity of universities to develop innovation in the country. To this end, the abandoned and forgotten places of universities will be turned into innovation complexes.
He added: to date, three innovation complexes have been established in two branches of Tehran center and science and research. It is hoped that the creation of these centers be a starting point for development of innovation centers in the country. These complexes can lay the foundation for involvement of professors and students in innovative and technological processes.
According to Ghaderifar, development of infrastructures is seriously followed up to improve the innovation ecosystem of the country. In this type of view, we seek replacing the spending of limited government resources to construct new infrastructures in abandoned spaces so that the innovation current could be exploited.
He also asserted: innovation factors are another type of using abandoned urban spaces. In this context, attempts are made to develop this type of factory in the country.
