Iranian UAVs will be available with a domestic brand
Chairman of Iran national space and advanced transportation administration emphasized the necessity of defining valid Iranian exporting brands for domestically designed UAVs, stating: it is attempted to define a unified brand for domestically produced UAVs so that export is expanded by establishing integrated export services.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, the chairman of Iran national space and advanced transportation administration, pointed out the large UAV industry market in the world during a technological gathering of units, organizations, startups and knowledge-based companies working in the field of UAV services and products, expressing: currently, the worldwide UAV market is $ 127 billion, which is expected to reach $ 250 billion by 2023.
He added: given the significance of advancements of Iran in the field of UAV, we must increase our attempts to gain at least one percent of the global market share.
Manteghi also pointed out the importance of development of inspection and infrastructures fields by using UAV technology, asserting: in the field of agriculture and firefighting, there has been good progress in the entrance of UAV industry. Nevertheless, we must also enter this important industry in other areas.
According to Manteghi, standardization, attention to security issues and gaining the necessary licenses for activities of UAV activists are important issues in this field.
In the end, he emphasized the special support of development of UAV standards and formation of a new brand for expansion of export in this area by Iran national science fund.
Siavash Malekifar, the deputy of Iran national science foundation, emphasized the development of UAV industry with the help of knowledge-based companies.
Malekifar also pointed out the global UAV rank of Iran, expressing: Iran’s rank is in the range of 5-10 in the world, which shows a significant progress and importance of finding a solution for developing the industry.
