The national space and advanced transportation administration has aimed to establish space laboratories in schools to develop space technologies among students in the country.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, given the fact that culture-building and technology development are initiated at low ages, and elementary schools are the basic part of changes in the country, the national space and advanced transportation administration has aimed to establish space laboratories in schools to develop space technologies among students in the country.
In this regard, the first space laboratory was established in research center of district 3 of Tehran (Amir Kabir) with the cooperation of K.N. Toosi University. The lab also teaches vacuum, pressure and gravity tests, how satellites work, the design, manufacture and operation of satellites and the type of service they provide.
The project has been implemented with an allocated cost of 500 million rials and has created jobs for eight individuals.
The national space and advanced transportation administration has aimed to increase the number of these laboratories in the current year so that a higher number of students could benefit from laboratory services in different areas of the country.
Establishing space laboratory in schools is a unique opportunity for following up educational contents practically so that students could understand their interests and act more wisely in selecting their future jobs.
