Facilitating conditions and extending the registration deadline for the National Elites Foundation's Research Assistant project

Based on the developments in the executive instructions of the "Research Assistant" project, on the opinion of the head of the National Elites Foundation, the conditions for accepting doctoral students in this project have been facilitated. The deadline for registration and the possibility for applicants to refer to the foundation's system has been extended until February 21.

According to the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hossein Afshin, Head of the National Elites Foundation, referring to the foundation's research assistant project and the possibility of registering applicants for this project until February 21 of this year, said: "This year, the Elite Foundation's research assistant project was well received, and in light of the requests made by students, the foundation facilitated some of the conditions of the regulations to provide greater support and expand the scope of this project."

Referring to the new conditions and notes added to the Research Assistant Program regulations, she stated, "In the revised regulations, we reduced the GPA requirement from 18 to 17.5 so that more doctoral students can participate in this program."

Afshin added, "According to the previous regulations, doctoral students were required to take the comprehensive exam by the end of the third semester and defend their proposal by the end of the fourth semester. However, a note has been added that students who have passed their comprehensive exam and defended their proposal by the fifth semester are also eligible to receive this support. Therefore, students who have defended their proposal and taken the comprehensive exam by the end of the fifth semester can participate in this plan."
