“Endogenous progress” and “value creating” are among the achievements of top talents and young elites.

“Endogenous progress” and “value creating” are among the achievements of top talents and young elites.

The vice president for science and technology affairs stated: top talents and young elites have brought endogenous progress and value creating for the country in the form of knowledge-based companies and startups on the foundation of the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, announced the endogenous scientific progress based on human resources, education and domestic culture, and the approach of the national elites foundation during a meeting with 2000 young elites, expressing: in our opinion, elite is a person who creates jobs and value added for their country. In this regard, the support provided by the national elites foundation depends on work, effort, and innovation.

Sattari introduced the scientific Saramad project and holding Mostafa and Shahid Ahmadi Roshan Awards as programs carried out by the national elites foundation, adding: knowledge-based economy is the opposite of oil-based economy, where the quality of human resources and investment by the private sector are key concerns.

Passing from Oil-based Economy to Knowledge-based Economy

During the visit of the top knowledge-based companies and technologies exhibition by the Supreme Leader, Sattari talked about passing from oil-based to knowledge-based economy and presented a report of programs related to the issue carried out by the Vice-Presidency. In this regard, he continued: following the order of the Supreme Leader, the national development fund provided great support for the scientific section of the country, which accelerated the pace of scientific and knowledge-based projects to empower the economy of the country and deal with sanctions.

According to Sattari, the formation of innovation areas near scientific centers and universities of Iran has made it the largest innovation ecosystem in west of Asia. In this respect, he marked: today, there are more than 4500 knowledge-based companies generating more than 90 billion tomans and providing jobs for 300,000 people.

Sattari considered the ecosystem for producing advanced drugs as a successful example of trusting the motivated youth, affirming: as the ecosystem has grown, immigration of elite in the pharmaceutical sector has almost ceased, and any drug that enters this cycle will be commercially available to the consumer market for up to two years.

During the meeting, 12 top talents from various fields expressed their views before the speech of the Supreme Leader.
