According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Zeynab Hamidzadeh, advisor on women’s affairs, expressed on the visit of the fourth national festival and exhibition of medical plants, natural products, and Iranian medicine (traditional): this exhibition can be recognized as a manifest of realization of non-oil economy. In addition to modifying the viewpoint of the society to Iranian medicine and promotion of healthy lifestyle among families, the industry of medical plants can help develop occupations in rural areas and include family occupations.

She continued: various examples of female activists of this field are observed in this exhibition, who have been able to establish their own workshops and companies and increase the reverse immigration and occupation for all family members. Statistics show that from 800 companies present in the event, 20% have been established by women.

Hamidzadeh pointed out the statements of the Supreme Leader, who expressed that the economic development is obtained by production and activation of domestic capacities, adding: among the domestic capacities of the society are women who encompass half of the society but less than 50% of their administrative and intellectual powers are used in the country. It is noteworthy that similar to other fields, the industry of medical plants must benefit from the capabilities of female individuals.

The fourth national festival and exhibition of medical plants, natural products and Iranian medicine (traditional) is held November 11th-14th 2018 in Musala of Tehran by the efforts of the medicinal plants and traditional medicine sciences and technologies development headquarter.
