According to the Public Relations and information Center of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, stated on the meeting of the administrative council of Razavi Khorasan as the representative of the government delegation: the most important duty of the government regarding knowledge-based businesses and startups is providing infrastructure supports and facilitating the activities of these businesses. As the representative of the government, I will not allow the closing of businesses.
Sattari emphasized that the cost of closing knowledge-based businesses and startups must be raised by structural and cultural correction, asserting: the most important responsibility of the government is providing the necessary supports for creating the infrastructures. However, this is not sufficient and the major part of the work is carried out with the help of people.
He added: creating the suitable condition for business and increasing the self-confidence and expanding the field of operation of local youth can significantly contribute to development of cities through creation of knowledge-based businesses and startups, which are the most important factors for development of knowledge-based economy.
Attempt to Flourish the Local Capacities of the City
The president of the national elites foundation mentioned that attempts to close down knowledge-based businesses is the biggest betrayal to the economy of country, continuing: innovation and creativity of the educated youth is the area for development of the city and flourishing of potentials.
He also mentioned: we need to pay serious attention to the capacity of investment of the private sector and young human resource of the city to pave the path for sustainability and return of investment and creating a proper environment for business of these people.
The vice president for science and technology affairs pointed out the formation of infrastructures for support of knowledge-based companies through implementing the support regulations of companies, stating: until before 2013, there was no knowledge-based economy in the country. However, serious progress has been made in this area up to this point, and the law for supporting knowledge-based companies has been provided more than 130 services so that the foundation is laid for flourishing of this type of businesses.
The representative of the government delegation expressed that the activists of the private sector have a proper ability to be active in the area of knowledge-based. In this regard, he affirmed: proper foundation must be laid for activities of elites in cities. In addition, appropriate pathology must be carried out to determine the cause of the migration of the elite of small towns, especially the elite of Bajestan, and recognize the lack of willingness of people of this town to invest.
Sattari regarded the flourishing of local capacities of Razavi Khorasan, such as Saffron and Tourism, in relation to creativity and innovation, asserting: despite the 96% share of Iran in production of Saffron in the world, our income is very low. It is not important how much saffron is produced, the value of this product must be elevated by using innovation in producing, packaging and branding industries.

The vice president for science and technology affairs visited the production line of Taghdis Porcelain Co. in Gonabad as another part of his travel to Razavi Khorasan.
Visit of Growth Center of Gonabad and Bajestan
Sattari also visited the Anthropology Museum of Gonabad, and the growth center, which is being built in school of medicine of Gonabad University of Medical Sciences.
Sattari also visited the Tomb of Sheikh Mohammad Taghi Bohlool, known as Kheikh Bohlool or Alameh Bohlool, one of the famous mystics and scholars of Gonabad, and cemetery of martyrs of Gonabad and Bajestan.
