We Need to Plan for Earning International Market Share of Stem Cells
According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, at the one-day symposium of skin, restoration, stem cells and regenerative medicine, Amir Ali Hamidieh mentioned that researchers of the country has tried a lot during recent years in the field of stem cells and stated: The international market share of this science is estimated to be 60 million dollars in 2020 which will reach 170 billion dollars in 2030 and over than 500 billion dollars in 2050.
Hamidieh added: If Iran manages to gain 2 to 5 percent of international market, it will be a very great amount. Secretary of the stem cells sciences and technologies said that Tehran University has the greatest participation in this field among all universities.
Mohammad Ali Nilforoush Zadeh- head of the one-day symposium of skin, restoration, stem cells and regenerative medicine said in another part of the inauguration ceremony of this symposium: Great actions have been done in the field of stem cells at the stem cells sciences and technologies headquarter of presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs which should be kept doing with more acceleration.
Ali Reza Zali- head of Iran Medical Council said in a lecture: Iran has entered the field of skin and hair for using good stem cells and is pioneer in this field.
Based on this report: The one-day symposium of skin, restoration, stem cells and regenerative medicine was held today, on Thursday at Tehran University of medical sciences with presence of a group of researchers, experts, physicians and students.
