According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, at the closing ceremony of the national project of improving the efficiency in engine rooms, residential and administrative-commercial buildings, Yadollah Sabuhi- secretary of the environment and energy optimization development headquarter of vice presidency for science affairs said: The experience of Iran and the world during the previous decades show that economic growth and development is necessary as the precondition of political power and national establishment. Although Iran has the richest energy resources (fossil energies) in the world,  the day to day increment of needing energy in the country with energy waste and wrong use in some cases on one hand and subsidy paid by the government in the field of energy on the other hand, Imposes irreparable damage to the country. Hence, the governments role as the dominant ruling on the energy market is necessary.

Sabuhi summarized the reason of setting up this headquarter at the vice presidency for science affairs in three sections and said: The environment and energy optimization development headquarter of vice presidency for science affairs was created in November 2013 and dealt with running programs in the country with cooperation along with the energy planning organization and Iranian Fuel Conservation Company. Also, this headquarter is responsible for making policy along with two ministries of petroleum and energy.

Stating that cooperation with executive organizations is the most important duty of the headquarter, he stated: Based on execution of the pilot project of optimizing and enhancing the efficiency of engine rooms of residential and non-residential buildings, the headquarter in association with the Iranian Fuel Conservation Company dealt with referring projects and ideas so that it can step toward enhancing the operational power of this organization. Moreover through evaluating referential projects, it identified the different dimensions of projects.

In this ceremony, Sabuhi said some necessities for practicalization of energy optimization potentials.
