We Are Ready to Cooperate with Different Countries in Joint Projects of Knowledge Boundary and Fundamental Sciences

According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, Soorena Sattari- presidency vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned the growth of start-up companies on the second day of holding the 9th Nano technology festival and while visiting ambassadors of 31 countries and declared: Infant technologist companies have a good market and the electronic commerce market of Iran will reach 80 billion dollars next year.

He appreciated the serious effort if the ministry of foreign affairs in developing international exchanges and expanding the culture of the knowledge-based economy in the following.

Chairman of the fund of supporting the researchers and technologists of the country stated that the young expert human force has been set as the fulcrum point of our country in the age of efflorescence of the knowledge-based economy and added: 5 million academic students and 33 million young people within the age range of 20 to 40 years old are the most main asset of this country whereas we have created unbelievable moments in some fields. Moreover, the outcome of engineering graduates of Iran universities is equal to America and this issue has been considered as the future-making capacity of the country so that a substantial part of GDP (Gross Domestic Production) get supplied by this section in near future.

Head of the Nano technology development headquarter added: Although impressive success have been achieved in the field of nuclear technology, Iran’s success is not excluded to this section and we have had amazing success in Nano technology, bio technology and communication and information technology which can be set for developing the knowledge-based economy of Iran and base for international relations.

Sattari considered Iran as the most various economy of the region.

Head of the National Elites Foundation added: Iran’s interaction with Russia in the form of supreme committee of technology joint cooperation’s is a successful specimen of such international cooperation’s and this committee’s activity in joint commission shows that cooperation among countries in different fields including science and technology can get expanded in high levels.

Sattari mentioned Iran’s capability in the field of bio technology and expressed: Over than 98 percent of medicines used in Iran are produced inside the country and by bio technology knowledge-based companies of which many are exported to other countries which can prepare the ground of international cooperation in the field of bio technology.

Head of the National Elites Foundation said that the considerable mutation of the Nano technology field of the country was based on strategic and precise planning in training human force from the basic level.

Vice chairman of the innovation and efflorescence fund said that the governments’ duty is to create link between scientists, researchers, activists of the private sector and students of the countries.

In the following of this meeting, Majid Takht-Ravanchi - Irans deputy foreign minister for European and American Affairs mentioned the scientific and research capability of the country and said: The Islamic Republic of Iran pays a serious attention to the issue of technology and accordingly, in post-JCPOA times, international scientific and researching activities and expanding joint cooperation’s in this field have been put on the agenda of ministry of foreign affairs.

The Irans deputy foreign minister for European and American Affairs mentioned: In Iran’s new interaction with other countries, transferring and attracting technical knowledge is a basic aspect of interactions and is set as an inseparable part of cooperation’s.

Mentioning the knowledge-based products of our country, Takht-Ravanchi said: By the vice presidency for science and technology affairs’ effort, the base of exporting these products has been prepared.

In this meeting, Saeed Sarkar- secretary of the Nano technology headquarter of vice presidency for science affairs mentioned the production of more than 330 knowledge-based products by 157 Iranian companies and said: Iran capability in Nano technology and serious activity in international arena has caused this country to be one of the world Nano activists.

Mentioning the export of Iran’s capabilities in Nano technology, he said: An agreement on establishing a laboratory equipped with Nano technology equipments with the value of one billion dollars has been made in Suzhou, China and some agreements have been carried out with some countries for teaching Nano technology and training human force.

Secretary of the Nano technology development headquarter of vice presidency for science affairs mentioned holding of Nano student Olympiad in 2017 with Iran’s hospitality.

Mentioning Iran’s capability in producing anti-cancer medicines based on Nano technology, Sarkar added: Some medicines are produced in our country for curing cancer whose each vial has the value of 40 dollars whereas its foreign sample is sold with the price of 800 dollars and Iran’s capability in accessing to this technology has managed to create such a value.

On the second day of holding the 9th Nano technology exhibition, meeting of ambassadors of 31 country was held with presence of Soorena Sattari- presidency vice president for science and technology affairs, Majid Takht-Ravanchi - Irans deputy foreign minister for European and American Affairs, Ali Morteza Birang- the technology exchange and international affairs of vice presidency for science affair and Saeed Sarkar- secretary of the Nano technology headquarter of vice presidency for science affairs.

At this meeting, these countries’ ambassadors announced readiness for bilateral interaction and cooperation in the field of strategic technologies and expressed their opinions and asked their questions.

 

The 9th Nano technology festival will be held from October 5th to8th at the permanent location of Tehran international exhibitions by the Nano technology development headquarter of presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs’ support.
