Vice President of Science visited the Uzbekistan Innovation Week international exhibition

Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy, who visited Uzbekistan to develop scientific and technological cooperation, visited the Uzbekistan Innovation Week international exhibition in Tashkent.

According to the communication and information center in the vice presidency of science, technology and knowledge-based economy, Dehghani, who traveled to that country yesterday at the invitation of Ebrahim Abdulrahmanov, the minister of higher education, science and innovation of Uzbekistan, was welcomed and accompanied by the minister of higher education, science and innovation in Uzbekistan and visited various sections of the Uzbekistan Innovation Week exhibition.

In this exhibition, in addition to various companies and organizations of Uzbekistan, 25 Iranian knowledge-based companies have exposed their latest designs and technological achievements to the visitors in the form of the Islamic Republic of Iran Pavilion, which is the largest pavilion of the exhibition.

These companies specialize in health care, agriculture, and information technology, which are among Iran and Uzbekistan's favorite fields for developing cooperation.

In a joint meeting with the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, Dehghani emphasized the development of scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries and the creation of a joint science and technology park with private sector investment in the city of Samarkand.

He said: This science and technology park will be launched with the presence of knowledge-based collections and new businesses (startups).

The Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge Economy further added: Preliminary stages and consultations between the two countries will begin in the next two months, and both sides will be required to provide the infrastructure and requirements of this park.

Abdulrahmanov, the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of Uzbekistan welcomed this proposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran and stated: We are looking for cooperation in this field and this park will be established next to Samarkand University.

He also emphasized the use of Iran's experiences in the field of science and technology.

Meeting with the Minister of Industry of Uzbekistan, visiting the House of Innovation and Technology of Iran in Tashkent and laying the groundwork for signing several technology contracts and developing knowledge-based exports are among the other plans of the vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy during his visit to Uzbekistan.
