Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter stated: today, we have a certain capacity for production of biofuels in the country. However, extensive use of this fuel requires national determination to solve the problem of air pollution.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, pointed out that all advanced countries of the world use biofuels, expressing: advanced countries of the world use biofuels.

He added: use of biofuels in the cities of the country requires obligatory use of the fuel, accepting it as the substitute fuel.

Ghanei also asserted: currently, Iran has the capacity for production bio-ethanol, which must be exploited.

Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter continued: all polluted cities of the country, including Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Mashhad and Alborz, must be obligated to use bio-ethanol in order to solve the issue of air pollution.
