Advisor to the Iranian Vice-President for science and technology announced the unveiling of Tehran Innovation Network (TIN) aiming to develop the culture of knowledge-based economy and support innovative native capabilities.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Parviz Karami, the advisor to the Iranian Vice-President for science and technology at the knowledge-based science, technology and economy culture development headquarter, announced the establishment of TIN to develop the culture of knowledge-based economy and support innovative native capabilities. He declared: "By supporting knowledge-based companies and technology/innovation institutions, TIN offers legal benefits and commercializing services to its members."

By mentioning the potential abilities for the progress and development of technology in our country, the advisor to the Vice-President of Irans National Elites Foundation remarked: "TIN will be founded nationwide with notable goals, such as the formation of a suitable environment for expanding native capabilities and technologies, encouraging innovations and entrepreneurship, nurturing gifted individuals, and increasing the economic share of knowledge-based activities."

Emphasizing on the high potentiality of Tehran to improve innovation in knowledge-based economic, Parviz Karami stated: "With the settlement of 1250 knowledge-based firms, Tehran harbors over 45% of these institutions in the country."

Advisor to the Iranian Vice-President for science and technology regarded the capacity of science and research institutions as another strength and remarked: "With 300 universities, innovation centers and science parks, Tehran province makes a great contribution to the improvement of resistance economy."
