Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter stated: food wastes have the ability to be turned into high-quality products used in various industries.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, expressed about turning food wastes into usable products: biotechnologies can turn food and agricultural waste into high-quality reusable products.

He continued: these food wastes can be applied in industry of animal and poultry feed and production of bio-fuels.

According to Ghanei, biotechnologies play a role in increasing the quality of food products. Therefore, it has been a while since we have aimed to implement the project of using these technologies in food production.

He added: the process of turning food wastes into eco-friendly fuels will be associated with several environmental and energy benefits.
