Due to the official invitation by the ministry of science and technology of South Africa, the vice president for science and technology affairs traveled to this country as the head of a high-ranking delegation in order to increase the scientific and technological cooperation with Africa and develop international businesses of Iranian knowledge-based companies.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, traveled to two cities of Pretoria and Johannesburg, South Africa, as the head of a technological and business delegation consisting of 46 managers of financial organizations and active knowledge-based companies in the field of information and communication technology, health and biotechnology, mine and relevant industries, industrial equipment and machinery, electricity and electronics.
In this travel, which is made and will last for four days with the goal of developing the export of products of knowledge-based companies and expand international businesses, the Iranian knowledge-based companies will meet and negotiate with their counterparts in South Africa in the chamber of commerce of Africa located in Johannesburg.
Participation in the science meeting of Africa and visit of the secondary exhibition of meeting are among other programs considered for this travel. In this regard, the representatives of companies can attend the meeting on technology, progresses, and needs in the field of science and technology of Africa continent.
South Africa, with its population and high GDP, is partnering with numerous countries around the world in the economic and commercial areas. The visit of the Iranian delegation and knowledge-based companies to South Africa is also aimed at increasing the level of cooperation and trade between the two countries.
Meanwhile, South Africa is the most important country of Africa continent and among the four prioritized countries of African headquarter of the ministry of foreign affairs and business development organization of Iran.
