According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Ghasem Janbabaei, the deputy minister of health, expressed on the visit of the fourth national festival and exhibition of medical plants, natural products, and traditional medicine that dealing with the current sanctions depends on the current foundations laid in the country, asserting: without a doubt, there are some problems in treating diseases and their complications that might be not be all solved by the traditional medicine.

He provided an example to elaborate on the issue: a cancer patient deals with complications such as fatigue and anorexia, which might not be solved by chemical drugs. Therefore, we can refer to the background of medical plants in the country to eliminate the problems in the area of new medicine with the help of medicinal plants.

The deputy minister of health continued: certainly, if we can produce drugs that are rooted in our old medicine, we will avoid the overuse of industrial medicines and, as a result, reduce health costs.

The fourth national festival and exhibition of medical plants, natural products and Iranian medicine (traditional) is held November 11^th-14^th 2018 in Musala of Tehran by the efforts of the medicinal plants and traditional medicine sciences and technologies development headquarter.
