According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Alireza Dairi, deputy for management and resources development headquarter, pointed out the support approach of the headquarter in a meeting on evaluation of problems of venture capitals, stating: the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs believes that knowledge-based companies, startups, and elites and activists in the area of science and technology are more needed today in order to reduce the importance of administrative bureaucracy. Therefore, instead of financial supports to eliminate the problems, we try to encourage units to move toward venture capitals.
Alireza Daliri mentioned the first measures taken in this regard, affirming: according to a joint cooperation agreement between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and stock exchange market, both of these works have been started, and we have aimed to persuade the investing society toward the capital market and move with a faster space.
He added: in the area of knowledge-based companies, venture capitals can enter technology service and commercialization companies and ask to be knowledge-based. In case of using the foundation laid for knowledge-based, they can benefit from the supports of the Vice-Presidency.
Daliri also stated that no significant development has been made in the area of insurance and everything is followed up in a traditional manner. In this regard, he asserted: the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs has come to an agreement with Iran insurance company in order to establish innovation centers, so that receiving ideas in this field could lead to innovative activities and leaving the traditional processes behind.
Deputy for management and resources development headquarter also mentioned: along with the exhibitions held in the past year, we have witnessed some shortages and problems, which require the coordination of central organizations and units since despite several requests, small output have been obtained in the area of venture capitals.
Daliri announced the signing up for the fourth foundation, stating: to date, about 12 foundations have received licenses and 12 others are ready to be verified. Therefore, it seems that the foundation is laid for investment through the market capital.
Saeed Falahpour, executive deputy of the stock exchange organization, regarded the presence of venture capitals in the country necessary.
According to this report, the Fara Bourse organization has aimed to hold this gathering with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs with the approach of evaluation of problems of venture capitals in the presence of a number of activists of the region, so that the pace of creating the foundation through the capital market could be accelerated.
