According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mahdi Azimian, the head of innovation acceleration center, pointed out the qualitative and quantitative growth of the number of accelerators in the past 12 months, stating: quantitative and qualitative development of accelerators is an essential prerequisite for increasing the quantity and dynamism of startups and new businesses. Accordingly, the center is trying to remove obstacles to the growth of accelerators.
Azimian continued: the number of approved accelerators increased more than 55 units in 2019, which is hoped to increase in the present year.
He also mentioned: qualitatively, the innovation acceleration center has a coherent program for the continuous evaluation of active accelerators, which are evaluated periodically at the end of each chapter, in which the implementation of accelerators" actions and performance with their approved programs is examined.
Pointing out the support packages defined to support the activities of the center, Azimian declared: support will be provided by the Vice-Presidency in the form of facilities and non-profit support. The financial support package is defined in two parts, a financial support heading includes facilities that are paid to them in the form of a mortgage in the form of a good loan.
Azimian marked: in exchange for successful startups exiting the accelerator, the gratuitous amounts will be allocated to the accelerators that are members of the center, which will be paid for a maximum of 20 successful output startups.
