According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs cited from the news headquarter of the second national, cultural and art festival of Made in Iran, Mahmoud Hojjati, minister of agriculture, pointed out the development of economic cycle in the country by supporting Iranian products, expressing: we can bring the attention of the public to Iranian products from foreign goods through proper advertising of Iranian products. However, the producers must adhere to principles to produce high-quality products. This act will bring flourishing to the production units and lays the groundwork for development of the country more than ever.

Hojjati continued: in the agriculture section, we can point out the growth of aquatic creatures, development of which leads to increased amount of currency in the country. Moreover, products manufactured in the agriculture section are required by all people. Therefore, supporting this section is closely related to the support of domestic products.

He regarded the holding of festivals such as “Made in Iran” as the cause of raising awareness in the private sector and investors of various industrial and technological fields, asserting: the proper quality and quantity of products in the agriculture section of the country have led to the acquisition of a high food-safety coefficient in the world by Iran. Producers of this field play an important role in supplying food safety in the country. Therefore, products in this field must be improved by developing investment. Therefore, exploiting knowledge-based and economic projects in the agriculture section will provide a proper income for the country. On the other hand, consumers must also aim at purchasing domestically manufactured products. The majority of agriculture products are required by people and it is better to meet our need with domestically manufactured products. The agriculture of Iran is leading in the production of 21 types of vegetables and fruits, recognized as one of the top 10 countries in the area of production in the world. Such capacity must not be neglected and investments must be made to improve and develop this region by increasing productivity and using global advantages of agriculture products.

The minister of agriculture mentioned the growth in the share of agriculture in GDP, affirming: investment plays an important role in growth of agriculture. Therefore, strengthening of this section leads to stable steps toward self-efficacy and proper opportunity to reduce export dependency. However, we have used strategies, such as using new technologies in the ministry, to reach self-efficacy in producing the main products.

In addition, support of Iranian production (made in Iran), support of production of Iranian knowledge-based products and services, culture of production of high-quality Iranian products, national scouting and popular support of high-quality Iranian knowledge-based products and services, destructive effects of purchasing foreign products, excessive and illegal import (smuggling goods), introducing new businesses and startups, wealth creation from science and technology and introducing the knowledge-based economy are the main topics of the event.
