The fourth national festival of “Sea, the Path of Progress” is started

 

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the fourth national festival of “Sea, the Path of Progress” is started in the Holy Defense Museum in the significant presence of marine organizations, knowledge-based companies and students for culture-building and development of marine industries.

In a part of this ceremony, Beham Rezaei, secretary of the fourth national festival of “Sea, the Path of Progress” expressed that the presence of students will be significant in this round of the event, expressing: there are two thousand works judged in the student section of the event, which means that 120 individuals will be introduced after the evaluation of 80 teams.

Rezaei pointed out the entrance of two new sections into the festival, affirming: due to the significant attention of the Vice-Presidency to flourishing of marine ideas, two new sections have been added to the programs and competitions of the event this year. These competitions include automation of ports and marine application demo startup, which will be held during the three days of the festival.

Necessity of Development of Sea in the Country Must Be an Issue

Lashaki, head of the ports and maritime fraction of the parliament, pointed out that today and it the surrounding developed regions, we are significantly far from an ideal situation in the marine field and economy. In this regard, he stated: with regard to the condition of the country it is necessary for all units of the country to cooperate in the development of marine knowledge-based industries. He emphasized the necessity of marine industry development of the country, expressing: we should not forget the potential capacities of marine industries and must support active knowledge-based companies of the field.

Talented Students Have the Potential to Promote Marine Ideas

Rastegari, commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy and head of marine industries organization of the country, expressed that the sea is in ownership of no government, asserting: the foundation of sea is provided and we can hold events such as this one to provide the foundation for flourishing of creativity and ideas in relevant fields.

He continued: in addition, if we use marine capitals more than before, we will have a wealthier and more powerful country.

Honoring the Top Marine Technological Projects and Achievements

In the closing ceremony of the fourth national festival of “Sea, the Path of Progress”, the top marine technological projects and achievements and the works in the student film and image section were introduced and honored in the presence of Mohammadi, member of the expediency council, Lashaki, head of the ports and maritime fraction of the parliament, Rastegari, deputy of ministry of defense and head of marine industries organization, Esmaeil Ghaderifar, head of strategic technologies development headquarter, and Mohammad Saeed Seyf, secretary of marine knowledge-based industries development headquarter.

The top works in section of marine technological projects and achievements were honored in three sections of knowledge-based companies, universities, and science and research centers and marine organizations and companies. In this section, the knowledge-based companies of Abbas Jamali with the project of biological production of algae, Behzad Teymouri with the project of evaluation of the requirements of the water management convention of the balance of ships, and Khalil Panahi with the project of simulation of navigating bridge were introduced as the top works.

The first day of the festival will include five educational workshops, including idea-making to product workshop, role of accelerators in development of marine businesses and evaluation of emissions of marine diesel engines and their reduction strategies and modeling and molding workshop of composite fleets.

According to this report, the fourth national festival of “Sea, the Path of Progress” will be held October 23rd-25th, 2018 in the Holy Defense Museum.
