According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the first marathon of Quranic digital content production, progeny and religious education with the topic of Quran and lifestyle, Quran and Islamic principles, Quran and entrepreneurship and solvent provision, and Quran and Islamic art will be held by knowledge-based science, technology and economy culture development headquarter with the cooperation of digital media development center of ministry of culture and Islamic guidance and the knowledge-based company of “Ayandepazhuhan Abr Zendegi”.

Parviz Karami, secretary of knowledge-based science, technology and economy culture development headquarter, pointed out the holding of this event in Ramadan, stating: the economy of digital content production is one of the most valuable foundations for creation of occupation and development of knowledge-based economy in the country. In addition, this can contribute to the advancement of the country if top talents of the country are financially supported and guided. On the other hand, presence of more than one billion Muslims in the world has led to the creation of the foundation for producing religious and Quranic digital contents and providing them for the Muslims. Unfortunately, Iranian digital producers have no significant role in this market.

Advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs introduced the base of activities in this marathon to be creation of the foundation for development of digital cultural entrepreneurship, asserting: some of the main goals of this event are culture building in line with production of scientific and applicable Quranic digital content, identification of abilities and guidance of talents of the society in the field of content production, creating the foundation for digital content production entrepreneurship based on production of Quranic content, improvement of Persian script and language in digital media, fostering creative ideas in the field of digital content production, teaching the principles of excellent digital content production, holding technomarket of Quranic digital media with the aim of digital entrepreneurship based on content and support of content producers, and culture building in this area.

Advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned that registration for the competition is in the form of teams, expressing: groups can legally register for the marathon or as independent groups. He continued: after the registration in the marathon, teams are assessed by a judging panel and 30 teams will be selected to participate in the final marathon, which will be held from Iftar (at sunset) to Suhūr (pre-dawn meal) in international Quran exhibition located at Tehran Musalla.

Advisor to the president of national elites foundation pointed out the participation of 30 teams in this marathon, conveying: these 30 teams will compete against each other from Iftar to Suhur during two consecutive days in fields of their abilities. They will apply Quranic digital content production for computer games, mobile applications, websites, multimedia software and implementation algorithm of these tools.
