The first Asia-Pacific Innovation Forum (ESCAP) is opened

The first Asia-Pacific Innovation Forum was inaugurated in Iran International Conference Center this morning in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs and head of the Asia-Pacific Innovation Forum.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, this forum was stated in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, Hojatoleslam Seyed Reza Ameli, secretary of Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, and Alice Jabana, head of the Asia-Pacific Innovation Forum, as well as the ministers and representatives of 62 member countries of ESCAP. With 4400 knowledge-based companies, 364 creative companies and 80 innovation centers, Iran is one of the most effective countries of the world in the field of technology. The presence of 45 science and technology parks, 190 growth centers, 80 innovation centers, and 30 venture capitals has made Iran a model for other regional and global countries.

The Asia-Pacific Committee of the United Nations (ESCAP) is one of the subordinate institutions of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and the council is one of the five pillars of the United Nations and has broad missions in the social and economic spheres.

The first APIF will be held June 11th-12th, 2019 in the presence of ministers of science and technology and representatives of more than 60 countries by the efforts of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.
