A joint cooperation agreement was signed between international science and technology interaction center of the Vice-Presidency and general office of medical equipment of ministry of health with the aim of improving the export and technology transfer abilities of knowledge-based companies.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, on the first day of international exhibition of Iran Health, a memorandum of understanding on international business development for knowledge-based companies in the field of medical equipment through improving the export and technology transfer abilities of these enterprises was signed between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and ministry of health.

This agreement was signed by Reza Masaeli, advisor to the minister and director general of medical equipment of the ministry of health, and Ali Morteza Birang, deputy for international affairs and technological exchange and head of international science and technology interaction center.

One of the pillars of realization of economy of resistance is special attention to the development of knowledge-based economy, which depends on international development of businesses of knowledge-based companies. In high-level documents of the country, including general science and technology policies, general policies of economy of resistance, comprehensive science map of the country, the permanent rules of the national development plans and the law on the elimination of barriers to competitive production, attention to the development of export of knowledge-based products and improvement of level of agencies to achieve this valuable goal are significantly emphasized.

In this agreement, it is determined that the export and technology transfer abilities of knowledge-based companies in the area of medical equipment will be improved, especially by facilitating their presence in international events, obtaining international standards, performing market research and international patent registration.

Moreover, use of the capacities of brokers that present specialized export services and introducing proper brokers to provide services to knowledge-based companies, informing the support programs and sharing the information of the implemented support with knowledge-based companies, and elimination of barriers to the development of business of these companies at the national and international level were among other items of this agreement.
