“The innovation accelerator” has been formed to accelerate the pace of establishment of new businesses and was selected as one of the top projects of the country by the economy of resistance headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the innovation accelerator supports various entrepreneurial events across the country to institutionalize concepts such as creative work among the younger population (i.e., university students). Without a doubt, the ultimate goal of the center is creating wealth and finding technological responses for the country’s needs. Creating joint work spaces and establishing innovation accelerators along with providing the necessary tools and conditions are a part of programs of the center. The innovation accelerator has aimed to play the role of a mediator between the private and public sectors instead of playing the role of a governmental policy-maker.

Today, it has been four years since the issuance of the overall policies of the economy of resistance. During this period, several projects have been initiated to realize the goals of the center. The economy of resistance headquarter has designed and implemented an integrated system for advancing and monitoring the resistive economy in line with the implementation of policies of economy of resistance, aiming at “unification and coordination of projects of economy of resistance and assessment of their performance”.

The information of economy of resistance projects in 31 provinces of the country have been registered by their executors and five projects were eventually introduced as the successful projects of the province in the field of economy of resistance. The innovation accelerator is one of the top five projects in Tehran Province, established with the goal of realization of a part of macro policies of economy of resistance. To date, the center has been able to be a sign of approval of efforts of Iranian youth in knowledge-based companies and accelerators based across the nation.
