The development of the sense of influence in (creative youth) is the origin of the transformation of knowledge-based economics

The development of the sense of influence in (creative youth) is the origin of the transformation of knowledge-based economics

The community must believe the effectiveness of the creative and educated youth

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, expressed on the administrative council meeting of South Khorasan that the society’s culture and business environment of the province must accept the entrepreneurship and creative ideas of the youth. In this regard, he stated: having a sense of effectiveness is what motivates our youth to continue developing knowledge-based businesses and stay in the country. It is important to have such a perspective toward domestic creative and entrepreneurial youth of the province.

Creating a Sense of Effectiveness by Establishing a Suitable business Environment

The vice president for science and technology affairs regarded the blossoming of sense of empowerment and influence to be in need of a business environment compatible with entrepreneurship and creative ideas, expressing: in this suitable environment, entrepreneurship and creation of added value are not just a feature and are recognized as values. Creating barriers to the path of this type of businesses is like betrayal and all parts of the province, from community to authorities, must dedicate extensive efforts to improvement of knowledge-based and creative companies.

Pointing out the central role of university in the formation of a suitable environment for creative and knowledge-based businesses, Sattari asserted that solutions outside the arena of the province are not domestic and sustainable solutions. A solution is efficient when it comes from the same environment and universities.

Sattari added: to realize this goal, we need a space and fundamental cultural changes so that entrepreneurship could be regarded a value. This environment must persuade the youth toward creativity and using their own abilities instead of relying on government jobs.

According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, the emphasis on the establishment of an appropriate entrepreneurship ecosystem means training individuals with high self-confidence and sustainable follow-up, who seek success and development. Children of desert have these features and are mostly successful owing to their historical background.

Sattari mentioned the importance of education in a way that knowledge and idea could be used in practice and entrepreneurship, declaring: the majority of curriculum designed for students are not applicable since the concepts of education and university have not been based on the needs and features of the domestic community.

The vice president for science and technology affairs conveyed that knowledge-based companies will soon manage the economy of the province, continuing: the new generation of entrepreneurship in the youth has been emerged in the form of knowledge-based companies, which itself will affect the selection of academic fields in universities.

Return to the Golden Era of Education and Research

President of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter also mentioned: industry and university have no actual meaning in the resource-based and raw material selling economy. Similar to university, industry is merely purchased without optimization technical knowledge, repair and maintenance. Before the Islamic revolution, such an approach was applied to air force industry. After the revolution and with the beginning of the imposed war, we realized that what makes us owners of an industry is technical knowledge and innovation of human resources. Therefore, we seek the formation of environment for this purpose.

Sattari emphasized the necessity of link of innovation of land advantages and creation of added value, expressing: the world"s saffron turnover is $ 9 billion, but as we provide the bulk of the world"s saffron, our country"s share of this big market is at best $ 450 million. This land advantage should be close to the high value-added commercial product through avoiding crude sales and combining innovation.

The president of knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter continued: this important issue necessitates the presence of the private sector in the demand-oriented research field. The activists and authorities of the province have made the necessary work for the entrance of the private sector and flourishing of these businesses and the government is just a facilitator in this regard. In the Vice-Presidency, we have initiated moving toward this path. In this regard, implementation of the law to support knowledge-based companies and the project of supporting creative industries have led to the establishment of a 2*2 space for performing activities of these businesses.

Sattari also stated: we have aimed to prevent the closing of knowledge-based and startup business with no reason. Barriers and complex administrative bureaucracies in a healthy entrepreneurship environment should not be an obstacle to these businesses.

He marked: proper knowledge-based companies have been formed in Birjand, Tabas, Qaen, and Ferdows, which will soon be turned into a large network for establishment of startups and other knowledge-based businesses.

According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, it is important for the province to have a strong determination to support its graduated youth and create a space for them to stay or return to the province. In these visits, I have seen an entrepreneurial person who has returned from Japan and has established a knowledge-based business in the field of biotechnology. There are many similar examples, showing that most startups of the country have multibillion-dollar turnover or revenues, which is due to the use of knowledge and innovation in their businesses.

Meeting with the Representative of the Supreme Leader in South Khorasan

The vice president for science and technology affairs met with Ayatollah Seyed Alireza Ebadi, the representative of the supreme leader in South Khorasan and the Friday Imam of Birjand, during the second part of his travel to this province.

Ayatollah Seyed Alireza Ebadi pointed out that experienced and talented human resources can develop the society.

Emphasizing the necessity of focusing on our belongings and lack of use of others’ tools, he continued: the young generation is very talented but the former generation must teach them what they need to know and support the youth.

The vice president for science and technology affairs went to industrial town of Birjand and visited the units based in this location and talked with the activities of the centers to learn about their abilities, needs, and concerns.
