The Scientific Competition of KANS Will Help Solving Problems in the Energy Area

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, due to the increasing use of natural resources by humans, fossil fuels will end before the end of the 21st century. It should be noted that although conventional sources of fossil fuels may be significantly reduced in the next few decades, conventional sources of these fuels can provide energy for centuries to come.

Therefore, use and replacement of natural and renewable energies rather than fossil fuels is an indispensable solution to supply the fuel of industries, especially the mineral industry.

To address this issue, there is a need for cooperation between scientists and scholars. In this regard, the Mustafa Science and Technology Foundation has aimed to hold the scientific competition of KANS, where attempts are made to solve problems in the Islamic world. In addition to water and environment, economy, information and communication technology and health, the topic of energy is one of the subjects of this year’s KANS. In this respect, scientists, students and professors below 45 years can present their applicable ideas in the competition.

The Mustafa Prize, the high sign of science and technology in the Islamic world, is given to the top scientist and researcher of the Islamic world every two years. This prize recognizes, introduces and honors the bests of science and technology in the Islamic world and promotes science and research education in Islamic societies. According to the executive documents of the prize, Sorena Sattari (the vice president for science and technology affairs) and Mahdi Safarinia (head of Pardis Technology Park) are the head and secretary of the policy-making council of the event, respectively.
