Chairman of Iran national space administration stated: our domestic experts have been able to design two types of helicopters, that are currently waiting for obtaining international certificates.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of Iran national space administration, expressed about the designing of helicopters in the country: an eight-passenger helicopter has been designed by our domestic experts, which has been showcased in several exhibitions and has found proper international buyers.

He continued: there are less than 20 countries in the world that have the potential of helicopter construction. In this regard, Iran is one of the countries with the ability to manufacture helicopters.

According to Manteghi, there has been proper developments in the knowledge-based companies of this field. In 2014, the national space administration was established, where there were only 20 knowledge-based companies. Today, there are approximately 180 knowledge-based companies working in the field of space.

He also asserted: presence of active knowledge-based companies can play a significant role in the enhancement of aerial industries in the country.
