The Innovation and Technology Ecosystem of Iran Is Introduced to Uzbekistan
The innovation minister of Uzbekistan hosted the head of the international affairs & technological exchange center. The meeting was held with the goal of introducing the innovation and technology ecosystem of Iran to the minister of innovation of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was held in the presence of the minister of innovation, deputy minister, head of the innovation development fund and deputy of innovation financing headquarter of Uzbekistan, Mahdi Ghalenoei, the head of international affairs & technological exchange center, and Rouhollah Estiri, the general director of the international affairs & technological exchange center.
During the meeting, the development of scientific and technological cooperation between Iran and Uzbekistan was emphasized considering the cultural and historical relations between the two countries. In addition, the innovation minister of Uzbekistan was officially invited to Iran in order to be more familiarized with the innovation ecosystem of Iran.
It was decided to determine a working group to evaluate technological needs of the two countries in order to sign joint agreements during the travel of the innovation minister of Uzbekistan to Iran in the next spring.
The Iranian delegation will introduce its suggested working group members after returning from this trip. The members of the working group of Uzbekistan will also be determined to attend in-person and virtual negotiation meetings to determine the technological priorities and areas of cooperation. These issues will be considered in the cooperation agreement between Iran and Uzbekistan.
In addition, the active presence of Iran in the innovation week in Uzbekistan that will be held next October in Tashkent was emphasized in the meeting. It was decided that the vice president of Iran be the special host of the event to learn more about the innovation and technology ecosystem.
