In a congratulation message, the vice president congratulated the receiving of the Fields Medal by Fereydoun Derakhshani (Caucher Birkar).
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, congratulated the receiving of the Fields Medal by Fereydoun Derakhshani (Caucher Birkar) in a message on August 29th 2018. The text of this message is, as follows:
Dear Family of Fereydoun Derakhshani
House is the shadow of man’s existence, and homeland is the house of heart. In the end, the house of heart is the shadow of this body and spirit. Shadows always follow their owners. It is a rope that connects us to our mind and memories. There is no separation there.
The root of Iranians buds in their homeland. Our attitudes and behaviors, will and efforts, as well as our spirit and mind are formed in the house and by the family. Fereydoun Derakhshani, this emigrated elite, has his root of honors grown in this homeland and his own family. Therefore, his national pride and honor belong to all Iranians. His geographical location does not matter, his existing point is right here. Fereydoun is of Jamshid’s family, the same person who captivated the ignorant Zahhak in Damavand Mountains.
Receiving the Fields Medal by the child of Islamic Iran, Dr. Fereydoun Derakhshani, has made all of us Iranians proud and joyful. Caucher Birkar, whether he wants it or not, is Fereydoun Derakhshani, who is and will be a model for all youth of this homeland. The adolescents and youth of the country will remind the efforts and successes of Birkar to find new ways in science and knowledge. This statue of knowledge is created by a modest Iranian family. Hereby, I sincerely thank the efforts of the family of Fereydoun in this path.
This homeland always convoys its children with the water of pride and dignity. I hope that someday these children would return to their homeland and feel the love of their mothers.
