Ceremony of reverence of the 24^th anniversary of martyrdom of Sattari, late commander-in-chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force, and his companions was held in NAHAJA headquarter and in the presence of coordinating deputy, the current commander-in-chief of air force, the vice president for science and technology affairs, and a number of commanders and families of martyrs.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs quoted by the news headquarter of Shahid Sattari, the amphitheater hall of NAHAJA hosted the ceremony of reverence for Shahid Mansour Sattari and his companions, who were martyred 24 years ago on this day. This ceremony was attended by Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, coordinating deputy of Islamic Republic of Iran Army, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh (pilot), commander of Army"s air force, and a number of commanders and families of martyrs. Sorena Sattari, the son of this valuable martyr and the vice president for science and technology affairs, was among the guests of the ceremony.

The Originator of the Modern Defensive Tactics

Army air force commander expressed that Shahid Sattari was a creative inventor and designer in the field of air force projects. In this regard, he continued: Shahid Sattari improved new tactics in air defense standards of air force to a great extent as a designer and inventor.

Brigadier General Nasirzadeh pointed out the statements of the Supreme Leader of Iran about this martyr, asserting: according to the Supreme Leader, Shahid Sattari was elite. He was a person who managed radars and antiaircraft and was not an office person.

Sattari Was an Example of a Jihadi Manager

During the ceremony, Admiral Habibollah Sayyari pointed out the key role of Shahid Sattari in the holy defense period, adding: what caused people such as Shahid Sattari to make history was their different method of management, which enabled them to act as Jihadi managers.

The coordinating deputy of Islamic Republic of Iran Army considered the nature of management of Shahid Sattari to be of Jihadi type, expressing: his type of management was Jihadi, and their activities were innovative. There are some differences between duties and responsibilities. All air force heroes and commanders acted based on their duties since they felt they must work in a way that they country would be proud of them.

According to Sayyari, before the imposed war, it was generally believed that the United States would come to its knees by expelling American advisers. One of the reasons of Saddam for attacking Iran was the fact that he thought our airplanes were unable to fly. Nevertheless, performing 140 aircraft operations with the bravery of the commanders of air force was possible on the second day of war.

The coordinating deputy of Islamic Republic of Iran Army regarded the move of tankers during the war and under the attack of the enemy a sign of efforts of the air force and coordination of other forces, mentioning: more than 150 tanker escorting operations were performed, during which more than 10 thousand ships were escorted. Only 250 ships were attacked. The enemy expected our economic deterioration but the bravery of commanders such as Shahid Sattari and his companions lifted us up and maintained our economic status.

The coordinating deputy of Islamic Republic of Iran Army pointed out that any problems in Kharg Island would make significant financial problems during Iraq-Iran war. In this respect, he affirmed: nevertheless, the air and marine forces defended the island and made us proud.

Admiral Habibollah Sayyari mentioned the efforts of people such as Shahid Sattari for move of air forces in the path of progress, expressing: by continuing the same path, we have been able to manufacture airplanes and repair and maintain them in a way that we would become the top power of the region and have no shortage in terms of technology. We are on the path of pride and progress owing to the blood of martyrs and efforts of children of the country.

Honoring the Families of Martyrs

During this ceremony, the families of martyrs Sattari, Ardestani, Yasini, Shojaei, Razaghi, Sharifi, Jamshidi, Jam Manesh, Sanaei, Pourzari, Mohtashami, and Mohseni were honored.
