According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Fereydoun Rezaei, deputy of renewable energies of the energy technologies development headquarter, stated about the necessity of activities of researchers and technologies in the field, expressing: last year, the VERN 21 institute published a report that showed that more than 310 billion dollars have been invested on renewable electricity, which is three times more than investment on fossil fuels. In addition, this level of investment is significant, compared to investors in the nuclear section (42 billion dollars). Therefore, these statistics show that the world is moving toward the development of renewable energies at a great speed, regarding it a tool to deal with climate change and reduced global heat.

Rezaei also asserted: the energy technologies development headquarter will definitely support the technological ideas and projects of researchers in this field. However, we need to avoid performing research projects with no achievements. Today, we need to enter this area operationally so that productivity could be increased in this regard by executive measures. As a result, there is a new attitude that supports technological projects with the goal of achieving the local and foreign markets.

Rezaei expressed: development of renewable energies in the country is on a good path and the headquarter can powerfully accelerate the path, so that the goals of this area could be achieved in a shorter duration in the country.

Regarding the use of renewable energies in the country, he affirmed: this potential has been less used in the country, which might be due to the abundance of fossil fuels. However, a look at the future shows our need for this type of energy so that the experts along with this God-sent blessing of the country could be used in this regard.
