Technological designs of forests and pastures were unveiled; Sattari: Food security is possible by defining a local model
Joint technological achievements were unveiled in the presence of the Vice President of Science and Technology, the Minister of Jihad for Agriculture, and the President of the Forests, Rangelands and Watershed Management Organization.
Based on the bilateral cooperation between the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology and the Forests, Rangelands and Watershed Management Organization, 20 technological projects were defined to help preserve the country's climate, and today the completed and finalized plans entered the implementation phase.
The application of these projects is in areas such as desertification, soil water protection, industrial prosperity and environmental activities, and in order to protect the country, these projects will be used depending on the case and climate of different regions.
The Vice President for Science and Technology, stating that food security is possible only by defining the indigenous model, added: "If the country's biodiversity is linked to the indigenous model of technology development, it will eliminate the need for food supply. Many development models in the food chain have not been compatible with the indigenous capacities of the country, but the presence of knowledge-based companies can correct this trend in favor of the unique indigenous characteristics of our country.
Sattari continued by stating that many projects in the field of agriculture, forestry and watershed management can be developed and implemented by knowledge-based companies, and continued: "Research creates a product in which the private sector invests." The government should be the leader of the research, not the executor, and in order to obtain the product of the research, it is the result of the role of the private sector.
Sattari, stating that the protection of the environment and climate capacity is possible with local technologies, continued: "The country's academics have placed Iran among the top UAV technology." Interaction between agriculture and knowledge-based companies in this field can serve the country's forests, rangelands and watershed management. In this regard, we are ready to support this interaction between the trustee and knowledge-based companies.
Following the technological projects that were concluded, among the joint projects between the Forests, Rangelands and Watershed Management Organization and the Vice President for Science and Technology were unveiled.
In another part of the ceremony, a memorandum of cooperation was established between the Vice President for Science and Technology and the Forests, Rangelands and Watershed Management Organization to establish a "Natural Resources and Watershed Management Innovation Center" to benefit from maximum capacities in the field of innovations and technologies in the field of natural resources and watershed management.
