Technological Development of West Azerbaijan; Smart City Innovation Center Will Be opened

West Azerbaijan is the next destination of the vice president for science and technology affairs. The trip will be made to develop the technological infrastructures of Urmia. During the trip, Sattari will attend the opening ceremony of smart city innovation center in the province.

This morning, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, was welcomed by the provincial authorities of West Azerbaijan province. This one-day trip started with visiting the science and technology park of West Azerbaijan province. The park will have an area of 7500 m2 and will be established in the 10-year building of the park. Sattari will also visit the achievements of 15 technological companies in the park.

The opening of a workshop for the production of knowledge-based industrial production for the operation of 8 technology units in the park is another program of this trip. In addition, the start of the project of handing over the park lands to seven technology units is considered in the park. Smart city innovation center of West Azerbaijan province is opened in the presence of Sattari in cooperation with University of Urmia and Pardis Technology Park. It will be a center for the development of fourth-generation technologies and information security.

In the next part, the vice president for science and technology affairs visits the innovation (entrepreneurship) center of Urmia University of Technology, which has given place to six technological companies and will welcome eight other companies soon. The innovation (entrepreneurship) center of Urmia University of Technology has been created with the goal of commercialization of entrepreneurship ideas.

During the trip, Sattari visits the growth center of the Islamic Azad University, Urmia Branch, which is considered a comprehensive center in the province.

During the trip, Sattari visits the science and medicine museum of University of Urmia. This museum has been operating since 1999 and has different sections of insects, geology, zoology, birds and aquaculture. Also, visiting the achievements of knowledge-based companies based at Urmia University is another program of this provincial trip. Visiting the Cellular and Molecular Medicine Research Institute of Urmia University of Medical Sciences is another part of this one-day trip. A research institute that has three centers of neurophysiology, molecular cell and tumor solid in the province. This research institute is the reference laboratory of the province in the field of Corona. Visiting several knowledge-based projects of Urmia University of Medical Sciences is also planned in this trip.

Meeting with the representative of the Supreme Leader and the Friday Imam of the province to evaluate the problems and barriers to the development of technology in the province is another part of this one-day trip. At the end of the trip, Sattari will attend the meeting of knowledge-based economy and production leap to present the report of Urmia Lake water and soil protection plan and technological measures in this area. The trip to West Azerbaijan province will finish with attending a meeting with journalists.
