The skill education workshop for “Autism” therapists is initiated by the support of the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the skill training workshop for therapists of “Autism” has been initiated since July 15th 2018 with the joint support of the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter and ministry of health and by the efforts of the psychology institute of Iran University of Medical Sciences.

This six-day educational workshop is held with the goals of teaching specialists in fields of psychology, psychiatry, and cognitive rehabilitation to increase the skills of autism treatment, improve clinical skills of experts for counseling of parents of children with autism. In addition, it is aimed to increase and exchange information in the area of diagnosis and screening of autism treatment interventions.

In this educational workshop, topics are related to the autism disease, teaching to the therapists of this condition and patients. In addition, the importance and role of parents in care of autistic children will be discussed.

The workshop of education of skills to autism therapists has been initiated in the presence of a number of treatment and healthcare authorities, Mohammad Taghi Joghataei, senior counselor of the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter and head of new technologies faculty, Ranjbar, representative of WHO in ministry of health of Iran, faculty members and experts in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, and rehabilitation, and a number of professors from Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and a number of expert teachers from Canada and the WHO.
