Startups of six provinces will compete at INOTEX 2020

It was announced at the press conference of INOTEX 2020 that startups of different provinces will compete from December 27th, 2020 and will continue until the end of April. The provinces attending the event include Sistan and Baluchestan, Isfahan, Mazandaran, Khuzestan, West Azerbaijan and Tehran.

Investment Attraction

Sajad Abbasi Fashami, the executive secretary of INOTEX 2020 expressed: it is aimed to make a great change using the experiences of previous rounds and create a space for organizations and companies to showcase their products.

According to Abbasi, INOTEX is held in line with meeting goals of investment attraction. He also marked: it has been tried to involve the provinces that lost the chance to participate in earlier events and bring more equity.

Establishment of Justice in Competition

The executive secretary of the event pointed out the experiences of previous rounds, asserting: in the previous rounds, startups of other provinces, especially less-privileged ones that have reached the final stage were forced to compete with startups from Tehran, which was not fair.

He added: therefore, the selected startups from different provinces will have the opportunity to use accelerator services in Tehran before the final competition and be able to participate in the final competition by receiving mentoring services.

Increased Attendance of Startups

About 110 startups attended INOTEX 2018, and this number reached 132 in the next year. The authorities expect to increase this number to 150 startups in the current round. INOTEX is held with the goal of balanced growth of innovation ecosystem across the country with the support of the Vice-Presidency.
