Sports events are the place for supporting domestic products

According to the Public Relations and information Center of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology cited by the news headquarter of the national, cultural and art festival of “Made in Iran”, Masoud Soltanifar, minister of youth affairs and sports, pointed out the use of social assets to build the culture and promote the use of Iranian products, stating: using the capacities in the sports area to advertise for Iranian products is a task prioritized by the ministry to support domestic products.

To realize this goal, all sport areas have prioritized the use of domestic products. As observed, the delegation of Iran sent to Asian competitions of Jakarta have used domestic products. Therefore, sports events can be the place for supporting domestic products and producers.

Soltanifar also asserted that the booming of sports economy in the country has been associated with improved overall economy of the country, adding: on the other hand, using sport figures in advertisements for Iranian products can motivate others, especially those interested in sports, to use these products. Promotion of culture of using Iranian products is associated with dealing with many crises in the country, guaranteeing the creation of occupation for our children.

Minister of youth affairs and sports claimed: nonetheless, producers are required to use modern technologies to produce high-quality and competitive products. If athletes use Iranian products in all gyms and sport centers, there will be change in domestic market of Iran. This is being currently followed up. In this respect, a circular has been announced to all sport areas, including federations and CEOs of sport clubs, to use their maximum capacity in supporting Iranian products.

According to Soltanifar, any action on the path of reaching economic self-efficacy and support of domestic economy is admirable, and holding events such as the national festival of “Made in Iran” to support Iranian products and taking a step toward familiarizing users with the benefits of exploiting high-quality Iranian products is an effective action.

The second national, cultural, and art festival of “Made in Iran” will be held this January in sections of literature, visual arts, audiovisual media, digital media, idea market and student section with the support of the knowledge-based economy, technology, and science development headquarter and by the secretary of Parviz Karami and with the slogan of “Iranian products, Iranian business”. Registration deadline for this event is November 6th 2018. It should be noted that this event is held with the goals of mainstreaming and content production for the cyberspace related to the cycle of commercialization, entrepreneurship, and knowledge-based economy, support of knowledge-based products and services of Iran, managing excessive import and valuating high-quality Iranian products, and helping the branding of top Iranian products.
